training & experience

My Integrative Diploma qualification offered in-depth training in multiple approaches; Person Centred Therapy, Gestalt, Transactional Analysis, Psychodynamic and Solution Focussed Therapy.

I work predominantly from a Humanistic perspective, meeting the person where they are in the moment, allowing the theory to support, rather than dominate.

I have worked for the NHS, at the Sussex Cancer Centre, supporting patients and their families who are undergoing life altering diagnosis and treatment. It is nothing less than a privilege to meet and offer support to these clients at such a traumatic time in their lives, and it is work I will continue with in the future, alongside my practice. As such, I do have particular experience supporting through the trauma of serious illness.

I have over 1000 clinical hours of experience counselling individuals facing a number of difficulties, such as;

Bereavement, Trauma, Serious illness, Suicidal Ideation, Self Harm, Depression, Anxiety, Loss, Fear of Dying, Family & Relationship issues, Low self-esteem, Cancer, Health Anxiety, Divorce & Separation.
